OBAMA/MC CAIN FINAL DEBATE 2008

TITLE:OBAMA/MC CAIN DEBATE 2008
LENGHT OF LISTENING:3 HOURS

SUMMARY:The debate was presided by Bob Schieffer of CBS News. The subject of the debate is about domestic policy. They focus on economic bail out. Particularly about the 750 billion dollars allocations.Mccain proposed a $52 billion plan that includes tax cut on capital gains, tax breaks for seniors and write-offs for stokc losses. While Obama proposes $60 billion in tax cuts for middle-income and lower-income people, more tax breaks to create jobs, new spending for publick works projects to create jobs.Mccain plan to allocate $300 billion to buy back home loan mortgages and negotiate those people in their homes, 11 million homes or more, so that they can
afford to pay the mortgage, and stay in their home.Obama was against the proposal of Mccain in buying full price for mortgages that now are worth a lot less.Mccain will provide additional tax cut of $200 billio to some of he wealthiest corporaton in America while Obama will provide tax cut 95 percent of working american, those receiving less than a quarter of a amillion dollars income a year will be paying less taxes. Mcain emphasizes that other countries like Ireland has the lowest corporate tax which is 11 percent compared to that of the US which is far more higher of 35 percent. So he thinks by lowering the tax on corporation it could attrack more investors.Obama wants to invest in health care, energy policy and in education which someday could become the backbone of the economy into the 21st century. Mccain proposal to invest in nuclear power, wind, tide, solar, natural gas,off shorer drilling which Obama opposed. At the end, I think its Obama who won the debate. He presented more realistic proposal than that of Mccain. Mccain proposal is somewhat vague. And base on the reaction and views of some people who watch the debate, they will probably vote for Obama. And according a national poll that CNN conducted after the debate, 58% of people felt Obama won the debate, while only 31% felt that john Mccain perforemed better. The poll also indicates that the majority of people polled felt Obama would do a better job on the economy, health care, and taxes. Additionally, those polled felt Obama was more likable and stronger leader.

Reaction:
In this final debate you would see how they respond directly to the question. and Obama has done a very good job in answering those question particularly in economy, health care and taxes which is the most important part in the life of an ordinary americans so to speak.
